MATEBELELAND SOUTH GEARS UP FOR THE CULTURE WEEK CELEBRATIONS

The preparations for the Matebeleland South Provincial culture week celebrations meant for Gwanda culture village, which will be held on the 21st of May have already started.

The celebrations have been organized by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ), under the theme ” Resilience is safeguarding creativity and cultural diversity ” .

The dates for culture week celebrations countrywide have been set for May 15 to 22 and will be hosted virtually due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

The activities which will be showcased online include music, poetry, dance, film, theatre, literature and visual arts in various social media platforms such as Facebook, tiktok, youtube, twitter , radio and television.

“Matebeleland South will be commemorating the provincial launch on May 21 in Gwanda town ,at the recently built Gwanda culture village ” ,said Percy Vela the Matebeleland provincial arts manager.
