Over seventy artists answered to the call by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe as they turned up at Cowdreypark clinic , on the 12th of April for the Covid 19 vaccination. The programme was aimed at drumming up support for the programme in the city, where there has been general low response and uptake of the vaccine .
The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe manager Cleopatra Dube ,Black Umfolosi leader Sotsha Moyi ,Poet Sithandazile were present .The NAMA legend Phathisa Nyathi was among the artists who came, he was also mobilized by NACZ to get his first dose of COVID 19 vaccine.
In an interview with one of the popular artists he said,” Our Industry has been closed for a year hence NACZ has shown concern by getting us vaccinated” .The artists were in a jovial mood as they received their first doses and challenged other citizens to get themselves vaccinated.
