BAKERY MAKES STRIDES IN INDUSTRY BY JEANETTE NDLOVU

Baking a way of living for Mr Tapera who is based in Bulawayo ,his baking prowess dates back to 1973 when he was working in Kadoma at Central Bakery where he was later promoted to a doughmaker .
He later joined Elem Lisborn Madeira where he served for 8years and in 1985 he joined Homestead Bakery in the city of Kings and Queens for 9years.

In an interview with Bano newspaper Mr Jonathan Tapera who works with Mr Mutero said ” Food Industry dominates and is also a way of art” .The experience that he has in the food industry has shown that he is passionate and persistent about confectionery.

Mr Tapera is a proud member of Try One Bakery located in Nkulumane 12 ,where they do not make bread only but all kinds of confectionery. Try One supplies Gwanda, Beitbridge, Filabusi and the city at large as vendors buy bread at an affordable cost for resale.

Mr Tapera feels that Try One bakery has empolyed most people with baking skills .He also mentioned that his work in the industry has been greatly appreciated.

The bakery is giving back to the community by giving less privileged families in Nkulumane which is a challenge in other companies within the vicinity .
