A versatile twenty six year old singer ,song writer and vocal coach is releasing an extended play titled ” Love Mimmie ” which is an insight of what she is about which is giving hope,spreading love and women empowerment.
The passionate singer started singing at a very tender age at creche ,primary and during her high school days.She then joined Creme Voices in 2013 ,Vocal ex in 2015 ,started out as a backing vocalist for local artists in 2015 and was also part of the first Edition of the Woman of Valour.
A nominee for Skyz Metro Fm awards,Roil BAA 2019 and also the only Bulawayo artist selected for Mr Ezia’s Empawa 100 Mubanga. Natasha Tarukwana also known as ” Mimmie ” is a force to reckon with. She has shared stage with the late Doctor Oliver Mtukudzi,Khaya Mthethwa,Judith Sephuma,Bekezela,Hle Ntombela ,Asaph,Berita,Sbu Noah,Lebo Mahalla ,Takesure Zamar,Pastor Chimbetete ,Djembe Monks,Hillsong from South Africa and Hunter tones a band from America.
The lockdown was a stressful time for Mimmie and also a blessing in disguise,in an interview she told Bano newspaper that, ” my income mostly comes from live performances and studio work ,not being able to perform has really caused a strain ,but it has also opened other avenues as i started to host online classes” .She started conducting vocal classes for begginers via zoom and whatsapp where she gives notes and tutorials
Natasha urged fans and other artists to stay tuned for her extended play which is set to be released on the 28th of February 2021.
Mimmie being a messenger of hope she advised other artists to pray,work hard and to be themselves always.
